Superintendent’s Update to Ukiah Unified Families March 26, 2021

Happy Friday, Ukiah Unified! Spring Break starts today and continues through Monday, April 5th. Students will report back to class on Tuesday, April 6th. I hope you can all get outside and enjoy yourselves over the break. Thank you for everything you have done to get us to where we are today. Take a deep breath. Give yourself a break because I believe we all deserve it. We’ve been through a lot together in the last year, but now we can see better times ahead with more in-person learning opportunities on the horizon.

COVID-19 Testing Clinic We will hold a special COVID Testing Clinic for all students and staff at the end of spring break. We want to do everything possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We strongly encourage all students and staff who traveled over spring break and anyone who might have gathered in groups to get tested on Monday, April 5th,  3:00 - 6:00 p.m., in the Pomolita Middle School Library before starting back to school on Tuesday. You can register your child here or with UUSD staff at the testing site.

Summer Camp Interest Survey We are busy planning and scheduling our summer program.  Please take a moment to fill out this quick survey for each of your students interested in our summer program. This is not an application, only an interest survey.

Grades TK–5 Summer Camp Interest Survey

Grades 6–8 Summer Camp Interest Survey

Grades 9–12 Summer Camp Interest Survey

LCAP Strategic Plan We are working on our three-year strategic plan, and we want your input. Please join us at a Virtual Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, April 8th, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Email your questions and ideas to [email protected] at any time before or during the Town Hall. Watch the meeting live or any time after the meeting on UUSD Live YouTube Channel.

After spring break, I will begin sending out communications every two weeks instead of every week. If you need assistance, please first reach out to your child’s school and then call our District Hotline at 707-472-5003.  Thank you very much for everything you do to support our students, and I hope you have a wonderful spring break!
