Introducing Our Prop 28 Annual Report on Arts and Music in Schools

We are excited to share the progress and impact of our Prop 28-funded arts education programs for the 2023-24 school year at Ukiah Unified School District. This year, we have launched several new and enriching programs at Ukiah High School to broaden our students' creative horizons and provide diverse opportunities for artistic expression.

New Programs Introduced:

  • Dance Program: Three sections of Dance have been introduced, allowing students to explore movement and choreography.
  • Stagecraft Class: Our drama program has been enhanced with a new Stagecraft class, offering hands-on experience in theatre production.
  • Character Design Class: Two sections of Character Design are now available, where students can delve into the art of creating unique characters.
  • Yearbook: An additional section of Yearbook has been added to accommodate more student participation.
  • Video Game Design Class: Two sections of Video Game Design have been introduced, blending creativity with technology.
  • Woodworking Arts Class: A new Woodworking Arts class is now available, fostering skills in craftsmanship and design.

These programs have significantly increased access to arts education and continue to support a broad course of study for our students. We are also excited to announce that we are developing arts programs for our elementary and middle school students for the 2024-25 school year.
