Eagle Peak Teacher Named State Educator of the Year!

Ukiah Unified is thrilled to announce that Kristen Tangren, a dedicated math teacher at Eagle Peak Middle School, has been honored as the California League of Middle Schools (CLMS) State Educator of the Year!

Kristen’s passion for teaching and commitment to student success have made a lasting impact in the classroom and beyond. At the CLMS awards ceremony in Monterey, she impressed judges with a speech emphasizing self-care for educators and the importance of structured learning environments for middle school students.

Eagle Peak Principal Dan Stearns, who nominated Kristen for the award, shared, “She is an exceptional teacher who cares deeply for her students. It’s an honor to see our school recognized at the state level.”

Kristen credits her success to collaboration, saying, “When we work together as a team, we achieve great results. This award is for all of the teachers and staff at Eagle Peak.”

She will be recognized at a special school-wide assembly this Thursday at Eagle Peak. Please join us in celebrating this incredible achievement!
