Local Students Participate in Intensive Healthcare Internship
This summer, 10 local high school students spent 14 days immersed in an intensive healthcare internship called Healthcare Education Summer Institute (HESI).
Ukiah Unified teachers Jonica Crook and Ben O’Neill accompanied the students as they completed three-hour clinical rotations in 10 different departments: Surgery, Intensive Care Unit, Medical/Surgical (MedSurg), Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Wound Care, and Medical Imaging.
