10.27.2019 - The power has been shut off in the City of Ukiah and the surrounding areas. Because of this, all Ukiah Unified schools will be closed on Monday, October 28, 2019.

10.25.2019 - Ukiah Unified has been informed that the City of Ukiah will likely lose power for up to 5 days during the PSPS event starting this weekend. If the power goes out in Ukiah, we will close all schools. We will communicate up to date information as we receive it through email, phone calls, texts, on our website, and on our Facebook page. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.

Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) is proud to announce that UUSD Trustee, Carolyn Barrett, has been named Region 4 Retired Administrator of the Year by The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). Through their annual awards program, ACSA honors students, administrators, and community organizations for their achievements and their dedication to public education.

On June 1-2, two Ukiah High School teams represented Northern California at the SeaPerch Challenge competition held at the University of Maryland College Park. The “Torque Team” finished 7th and “H2Bros” finished 29th out of 84 high school teams.

“It was nice to go down to Los Angeles and have our students validated by the pillars that validate all the best programs in the state...,” said Joshua Small, UHS Vocal Music Director.

Ukiah Unified School District (UUSD) has announced that due to Trustees moving outside of the area in which they were elected, there will be two vacancies on the UUSD Board of Trustees. Board Member Fernandez, representing Trustee Area North, resigned effective June 14, 2019, and Board Member Monpere, representing Trustee Area Central, resigned effective June 30, 2019.

"We are very proud of our State Science Fair Qualifiers. Their dedication, hard work, and superb scientific methodology is a testament to their teachers, parents, and our commitment to the robust STEM curriculum we have here at Eagle Peak," said Dan Stearns, Eagle Peak Middle School Principal.

The DROPS project at Ukiah High School packs a wallop: every year, the gardens and basins will filter and clean 4.5 million gallons of stormwater. The DROPS grant also enabled the school to install a 5,000-gallon rainwater collection system to provide water during the summer to their livestock and aquaponics program.

The 10th Annual Student Photography Show opens on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 at The Corner Gallery in Ukiah, 201 S. State St. The photographs will be on display through May 31, Tue - Sat from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
